In the mood for a delicious treat? Simply Cheesecakes and Such recently opened at 106 E. First Street in Ankeny, the location that was once home to the Ankeny Press Citizen.
The venue will serve customers different kinds of cheesecake, brownies in a variety of flavors like cappuccino and raspberry cream cheese, and a light lunch. The cheesecake is available in slices or a whole cake.
The owner, Kennie Smith, has been creating them from her home since November and selling them to local businesses. Some of the most popular flavors include raspberry fudge, chocolate truffle, and turtle. Other flavors offered include Almond Joy, New York Style, and Hawaiian. Prices range from $25 – $30 and should be ordered 24 to 48 hours in advance for a whole cheesecake.
