John Peterman (Des Moines Area Manager)
John has worked for Haverkamp Properties for a total of 4 years, from 2003-2006. He moved to Portland, Oregon for two years, where he worked for a large property management company. He started with Haverkamp Properties again in January of 2009 when he moved back to Iowa to oversee all of the Des Moines area apartment communities.
John was born and raised in central South Dakota. He attended South Dakota State University where he studied music, criminal justice, & psychology. He went into law enforcement, was certified in the state of South Dakota, and became a municipal officer. Upon moving to Iowa, John gave up a career in law enforcement and started in property management. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, and also likes to fish, snow ski, and travel.
Lynette Farnham (Assistant Manager/Office Manager)
Lynette has enjoyed working at Haverkamp Properties for the past six years. Her prior work experience includes 13 years in the business office of an ophthalmology clinic and six years as office coordinator in a social services office, where she worked with foster care, adoption and counseling programs. As office manager at Haverkamp Properties, her duties include greeting residents, answering phones, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, and coordinating with leasing, accounting and maintenance departments to provide the best possible service to all Haverkamp residents. Lynette’s free time is spent enjoying the company of family and friends, reading, movies, gardening, walking, biking or just relaxing at home. She also enjoys traveling, seeing new places and meeting new people. One of her future goals is to write a book.
Caitlin Huber (Assistant Manager)
Cait has been with Haverkamp Properties since January 2009. She worked part-time as a leasing agent in the Ames office while attending Iowa State University. After graduation, she started full time in the Des Moines office as a leasing specialist and office assistant. As a leasing specialist, Cait shows apartments to prospective residents, assist with lease signings, and general office work. In her spare time, Cait enjoys reading, seeing movies, spending time with friends and family, and going to Iowa State games!
Gary Grimes (Maintenance Supervisor/Technician)
Gary Grimes is our newest employee to Haverkamp Properties. Gary brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Des Moines communities. Before moving to West Des Moines to work in apartment maintenance, he lived in south central Iowa and worked in a factory for 15 years. Gary has around 7 years of apartment maintenance experience and is certified in many areas including HVAC, pool & spa certifications, and customer service with various other trainings. Gary also did various maintenance for home owners in the Des Moines area. Gary’s hobbies include fishing and doing wood work with his dad.
